Inspiration for the Week #1 – Environments
I’ve been wondering how I would play out these inspiration posts for a while, but I think I’ve settled on a plan. Each week I will post work I have found inspiring and believe you will too. I will give it a theme each week. For example character design, conceptual art, abstract, fantasy, etc. I will then pick artwork from artists (or just one, I will decide each week) and then share them here for you to see.
Tom Scholes
Tom Scholes is an artist I have been watching for sometime now, and I find his style of work fascinating. His environments have a really strong conceptual feel to them. On Tom’s blog he even provides a few video demonstrations to various pieces he has done. Be sure to check them out, I particularly like the technique he uses to ‘remix’ images.
Click on the images below to see them in their original posts on his Crayon Box of Doom blog, where you can access larger versions of the images.

He also puts up work on the Gorilla Artfare art collective site.
